Welcome to Carlos Repairs @Ridge. By accessing our website, requesting an automotive estimate, or authorizing mechanical, electrical, or body repair work at our Brooklyn facilities, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Repair Estimates & Authorization

All automotive repair, diagnostic, and maintenance work is performed in strict compliance with the New York State Motor Vehicle Repair Shop Act:

• Written Estimates: Upon request, customers are entitled to a detailed written estimate of labor, diagnostic time, and required replacement parts.
• Customer Authorization: No repair work beyond the initial diagnosis will commence without the express prior consent of the customer (via signature, phone recording, or confirmed digital communication).
• Supplemental Work: If additional defects or worn components are identified during teardown, we will contact you immediately with an updated quote before proceeding.

2. Replacement Parts & Warranties

We install premium OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and certified aftermarket replacement parts:

• Parts Warranty: Replacement parts carry the specific manufacturer warranty against defects.
• Labor Guarantee: Our mechanical craftsmanship is backed by our standard service guarantee against workmanship defects under normal driving conditions.
• Customer-Supplied Parts: If a customer requests the installation of components supplied from outside our shop, Carlos Repairs @Ridge cannot warranty the longevity or performance of said customer-provided parts.

3. Payment Terms & Vehicle Release

Payment in full is due upon completion of authorized repair services prior to vehicle release:

• We accept cash, major debit/credit cards, and certified payment instruments.
• Pursuant to New York Lien Law, repair facilities maintain a legal possessory lien over vehicles until all authorized labor and parts charges are satisfied.

4. Vehicle Storage & Completion Notification

Upon notification that your vehicle is ready for pickup, we request collection within three (3) business days. Vehicles left beyond this courtesy window without prior arrangement may be subject to reasonable daily storage fees as permitted under local municipal ordinances.

5. Personal Items Inside Vehicles

While our facility maintains gated security and monitored video surveillance, customers are strongly encouraged to remove all personal valuables, electronic devices, sunglasses, cash, and sensitive documents prior to leaving their vehicle for service. Carlos Repairs @Ridge cannot be held liable for personal belongings left inside the vehicle.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York. Any legal proceeding arising from service agreements shall be resolved exclusively within the state courts located in Kings County (Brooklyn), NY.
